CrowdComms Event Admin Dashboard Overview

The CrowdComms Event Admin Dashboard provides a streamlined, intuitive workspace to configure every part of your event experience, from core event details and libraries through to registration, event apps, onsite services, communications, analytics, and integrations.

Release scheduled: Wednesday 12th August.

Step 1: Configure Your Project Settings #

Begin in the Project area, where you set up the core configuration for your event. Here you can personalise your event details, add supported languages for a multilingual experience (over thirty languages are available), and define how your event will look and feel.

Within Project, choose your brand colours and check that they meet accessibility requirements, upload your event images, select custom fonts, and apply any additional visual or structural settings your event requires.

Step 2: Build and Manage Your Libraries #

Move to Libraries, which now sits directly after Project to reflect its role in supplying content to the rest of the platform.

In Libraries, import and export your people records so that your attendees, speakers, and other participants are ready for registration and for promotion of your event app and wider event technology suite. Use the Companies section to build out your exhibitors and sponsors, and create and manage your maps, videos, documents, and images. This is where you assemble reusable library content that can be leveraged throughout the event platform, especially within the event app, which also serves as your virtual and hybrid event environment.

Step 3: Set Up Registration and Ticketing #

Open the Registration section, which now appears above Event App to reflect its position early in the event journey.

From here, configure and send your invitation emails, manage your event website setup, and create your registration forms. Set up payment options, ticket types, and any related registration rules. All the familiar registration functionality remains, but is now organised more logically so you can find and manage it more easily.

Step 4: Configure the Event App and Pages #

Navigate to the Event App area, which has been significantly restructured so that all app-specific settings sit together in one place.

Within Event App, manage the settings that apply specifically to your app, including privacy controls and group management. A key change is that Modules are now called Pages, a more globally recognised term that directly reflects what your attendees will see.

Use the live preview to see all your pages (previously modules) as they will appear in the app. You can select any page from this preview to open it and make edits.

Alternatively, choose Manage your pages to access the full list view, use search to quickly find pages, and organise your app structure.

From the pages management area, create a new page using the same familiar process as before, then return to the previous view once your changes are complete.

You can show or hide individual pages to control their visibility to attendees.

As you adjust visibility, you will see updates reflected in real time in the left-hand menu of the preview. You can reshow hidden pages when needed, or click directly through from the preview into the page to make further edits.

Overall, the Event App experience remains fundamentally similar to the previous version, but the layout and naming have been optimised to make configuration faster and more intuitive.

Step 5: Enhance the Onsite Experience #

Next, open the Onsite section to configure tools that elevate the in-person experience once registration and the event app are in place.

Here you can set up kiosks and badges as part of the onsite badging solution, manage attendance tracking to monitor who attends which sessions, and configure lead capture so exhibitors can collect and qualify leads for follow-up and revenue generation. Display screens, previously accessed from a sub-menu, are now clearly located within the Onsite section, allowing you to set up and manage on-venue display content in the same area as your other onsite tools.

Step 6: Manage Event Communications #

Go to the Comms section to control all of your event-related messaging.

Use Comms to manage emails for registration, event app promotion, and other event communications, as well as push notifications and system emails. Customise the messaging for each audience and purpose, ensuring consistent, on-brand communication throughout the event lifecycle.

Step 7: Review Performance with Analytics #

Open the Analytics area to monitor how your event app and related tools are performing.

Here you will find all existing analytics functionality consolidated into a single, streamlined area, including live dashboards for real-time insights and CSV exports for deeper offline analysis and reporting.

Step 8: Configure Integrations and Access Support #

Go to Integrations to connect CrowdComms with your existing systems.

Use the overhauled integrations library to filter by integration type, search for available connectors, and follow the step-by-step setup instructions for each integration. If a required integration is not included in your current package, contact the CrowdComms team to discuss options.
For additional help at any stage, access the Knowledge Hub for detailed documentation, join the live training platform with twice-weekly drop-in training sessions, or use the live chat to speak with expert support. These resources are always available to ensure configuring and running your events with CrowdComms is as straightforward and efficient as possible.
