26.1 Maps

The Maps module is a way of adding static images such as floor plans or an interactive google map to the platform. Static images can also be pindropped, these pins can link back to specific locations for specific sessions, Livestream sessions or Company Profiles.

Adding a Map to Your Event App #

1. Access the Map Module: Start by navigating to the Libraries section in your Event App on the CMS. From there, select Maps & Locations and click on Add New Map.
2. Adding a Static Image Map:
   • If you’d like to use a static image as your map, choose Map Type as Image.
   • Upload your desired image in either PNG or JPEG format.
   • After uploading, you can add pin drops by clicking Add in the Customise Markers section.
   • Name the pin after the room or area it represents.
   • You can also customise the pin colour and link it to a specific company or session. Once you’re happy with the pin’s details, submit the form it and drag it to the correct location on the map and click Save Changes.
3. Adding a Google Map:
   • To integrate a Google Map, first search for the location in Google Maps. Click Share and select the option to get the Embedded Map Link. Return to the Maps module in the CMS, click Add New Map, and choose Google Map as the map type.Paste the Embedded Map Link you copied from Google into the designated field.
   The Google Map will function just like it does in Google Maps, allowing users to zoom in, out, and interact with the map.
4. Making Maps Visible on the Event App:
   • Once your maps are configured, go to Modules in the CMS.
   • Click Create New Module and select the Map Module type.
   • In the Module Settings, you can adjust the order in which maps appear, choose whether to display all maps or just specific ones, and customise the module’s title, icon, and visibility.
