While the event app didn’t leave us over the last few years, it certainly took a back seat while virtual event technology did the heavy lifting connecting remote attendees. Now in-person events are back in full-swing, the event app is reclaiming its title as the event industry’s most essential piece of tech.

As inflation continues to rise and disposable incomes stagnate or go backwards, it’s no surprise that many of us are tightening our budgets and reducing our spending. Like just about every other sector, this difficult period is likely to impact the events industry.

It’s reasonable to assume that when we network at a virtual event we should do the same things as we do in-person. However, while video does give us face-to-face contact, the way we communicate changes. To help attendees get most from a virtual event, we take look at how people can network effectively online.

Hanson Wade have partnered with CrowdComms since pre-pandemic days and have made good use of our event apps, virtual event platform, and hybrid streaming expertise, as well as regularly bringing in our badging kiosks to enable a smooth registration process for delegates.
“It was a welcome relief when CrowdComms got in touch.
You are everything we needed and everything we didn’t realise we needed.”

Event professionals are feeling the pressure to win back audiences by delivering events that excite attendees. Nowhere is this more of a challenge than in the competitive world of virtual events.

How do event planners curate programmes that engage and retain audiences in a virtual audience?

Are you as excited as we are to be getting back to in-person events?
While virtual continues to work wonders in delivering engaging experiences to remote attendees, we’re delighted that in-person events are back, and giving event planners even more choice in how they connect to their attendees.

Using an event app game is a fresh way of engaging attendees with your event. Gamification will encourage your attendees to get involved with your event in new ways.
Whatever your vision for your next virtual, hybrid or in-person event, we can help.
