Do you know your CMS Password?

At CrowdComms we take the security of your data very seriously and to that end we are tightening up security on our content management system from February 2021 onwards.

Hopefully, the answer is either ‘yes’ or ‘my password management software does’ – but either way now is probably a great time to check.

At CrowdComms we take the security of your data very seriously and to that end we are tightening up security on our content management system from February 2021 onwards. The list of changes is as follows:

  1. Passwords will expire after 3 months, after which time you will need to set a new one to continue using the CMS.

  2. You will need to choose more complex passwords, including special characters and not containing things like your name or email address.

  3. We will be introducing mandatory, email-based, Multi-Factor Authentication as part of the login process.

  4. Login sessions will expire after 24 hours – you will need to login again to continue using the CMS.

These changes reflect our commitment to making sure your data doesn’t fall into the wrong hands, and we will continue to push standards forward over the coming months to deliver a platform that is both secure and fantastic to use.
