LXA, Learning Experience Alliance (formerly MarTech Alliance) is a business focused on providing educational experiences aimed at the marketing, sales and technology industries. They offer refreshingly engaging events, courses and resources to their community and take an approach that is decidedly anti-stuffy in order to break away from the conference norm.
While LXA are quick to point out their love for retro tech (floppy disks included!), their motto of ‘keep upgrading’ applies to both their brand and the events they organise. Always looking to improve attendee experience at their events, they bring in old-school tech and memorabilia to spark conversation and never fail to delight delegates with packets of Space Invaders and Sherbet Dip Dabs. This is before we even mention the meet-and-greets with Paco the Pug.
This carefully thought-out nostalgia provides the ideal vehicle to encourage attendees to relax and enjoy the event while upgrading their skills, knowledge, network and, subsequently, their career and business opportunities.
AntiConLX Global, held at Magazine, London, in July 2022, was a prime example of LXA’s event offering centred around the anti-con point of view. A host of exciting speaker sessions, including Steven Bartlett of ‘Diary of a CEO’ fame, alongside a great set of sponsors, provided education without seeming too forced. Over one thousand attendees cleared their diaries for the day and travelled from across the UK and beyond to attend in person.
Seamless Registration and Customised Badging
As the organisers at LXA worked with us for MarTechFest last year and had an exceptionally positive experience, they were keen that the CrowdComms’ kiosks should handle registration for their events from now on. Not only were attendees welcomed by a quick and easy registration process, but the team at LXA experienced the reassurance of dependable tech and our well-renowned on-site support.
“The kiosks are so easy to use. Everyone loved them.”
Attention to detail from both the event delivery side and associated branding is crucial to the overall quality of an AntiConLX event. Our team worked with the event organisers to ensure that the bespoke, branded badges looked exactly the way they wanted. Coupled with the AntiConLX lanyards, the sight of sponsors and attendees wearing the event’s branding as they walked the floor made for an impressive and cohesive visual.
“We had so many changes to the badge design, and there was never any stress.
You guys are calm and collected!”
The CrowdComms’ Difference
Nothing gives us greater pleasure than working closely with our clients to ensure that their event goes off without a hitch. We believe that a great working relationship results in a great event. The organisers at AntiConLX appreciated having the same dedicated team focused on their event, seemingly a rarity in the world of event tech suppliers. Whatever the question, advice, suggestion or alteration, the organisers knew the right person to contact, confident that their request would be dealt with promptly and with the commitment and customer care we pride ourselves on.
“Literally 10/10! You helped us straight away, and it makes a world of difference.”
With 11 years of on-site event experience, we know what it’s like when the pressure is on. We’re often told how our support staff, both on-site and those providing remote assistance, project calmness under all circumstances. Not only is this highly valued when we welcome attendees, support event venue staff or deal with the unforeseen, but our team collectively offer an experienced, reassuring pair of hands when our clients need it most. We want your event to be a huge success, and we’ll do whatever we can to make that happen.
“I underestimated how important friendliness is when you’re on-site.
The product is excellent, and the team are all amazing.”
Thank you to AntiConLX for providing us with their feedback for this case study. Please take a look at their website if you’d like to see what events they have coming up.

The Art of Brilliant Event Badges
What’s your favourite piece of event hardware?
While there’s lots to love about all the elements that make events work, we’ve got a special place in our hearts for the humble event badge.
Awesome Benefits of Seamless Event Tech
Most event organisers want their attendees to experience the event as an easy flow of friction-free interactions. While that’s definitely possible with disparate services, there may be a lot more work involved and more potential for things to go wrong.
