Advancing Prefabrication is North America’s premier thought leadership conference dedicated to prefabrication and manufacturing approaches across the architecture, engineering and construction supply chain. This four-day event is in its 6th year and one that has grown in reach and renown. In April 2022, 1,000 attendees arrived at the Phoenix Convention Center in Arizona ready to engage with fellow delegates, access seven tracks of specialised educational content, participate in hands-on workshops and experience a selection of office facility tours.
The event’s primary aim is to bring people together from their industry. By combining networking opportunities with relevant, high-quality content, attendees not only are updated with the latest developments in their field but can also collaborate and make meaningful connections.
Utilising an Event App to Promote Sustainability
Hanson Wade saw the importance of using the CrowdComms event app as a way to have a fully flexible event agenda and to update attendees with up-to-the-minute changes. The evolution from an eight-page printed booklet to a single event app containing all the essential information was in response to a desire to become more environmentally conscious.

Not only does the CrowdComms app deliver in terms of helping organisers meet their sustainability goals, but also provides a platform for easy and enjoyable networking opportunities. With networking being such a high priority for the event, the app included our revamped meeting booking feature so attendees could book in-person meetings with specific people in specific locations at times that suited their event schedules. By having a range of networking options as part of the event app, attendees could choose how they wished to connect with other delegates and follow up on any missed opportunities post-event.

While the event app guided people through the agenda and brought people together to network, a fleet of CrowdComms’ super-fast registration kiosks were stationed at the entrance to welcome attendees to the event. With their contactless technology and smart, futuristic appeal, not to mention their ability to be branded for your event, they provide a professional first impression and usually get the conversations flowing!
Accompanied by our support staff, registration is a positive process and not only sets the event off with the right tone but allows delegates to talk to CrowdComms’ staff about the badging process, the event app or to be introduced to an event host.
