New Appointment: Vanessa Bishop, Commercial Director

We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Vanessa Bishop to the role of Commercial Director (Australia, New Zealand and Asia).

As CrowdComms’ Client Relationship Manager, Vanessa has been instrumental in growing the Australia business for over five years.  Consolidating over twenty years’ tech industry experience with a passion for events, Vanessa has generated trusted relationships with key brands and organisations across the region. Her energy and creativity is always channelled into delivering the perfect event tech solution for our partners.

While Vanessa will continue to work with existing clients, this new role will see her bring a strategic vision and strong leadership to the business that will ensure CrowdComms’ success as we continue to evolve and grow.

 

CrowdComms’ Conference App Goes Kiwi!

Last week I had the pleasure of exhibiting at CINZ along with our new partner Tom Coleman from Dash 6.

Tom and I have worked together over three businesses now, and have known each other for over a decade. Tom is an expert in all things conference technology, especially live polling, silent auctions and event apps.

We’re thrilled to announce that Tom is now part of our extended family. Based in Auckland, Tom will be offering the CrowdComms’ conference app and event app solutions to the New Zealand event market.

If you need a conference app at a New Zealand event or an onsite tech to help at your conference, Tom is your man. It’s really exciting because New Zealand is such a conference hub in this part of the world.   We can’t wait to help Kiwi event organisers provide the best in class event apps.

For many people New Zealand is on their bucket list of places to visit. It has stunning natural scenery, amazing food and produce, and a rich, diverse culture. Not to mention all the extreme activities such as bungy jumping, and of course the Lord of the Rings’ locations to marvel at.

It’s no wonder that New Zealand has become a go to place for conferences over the past 10 years or so. From Australia it’s relatively cheap and quick to jump across the divide. There are terrific venues and it’s easy to set up conferences.

CINZ was a great New Zealand event! Thanks so much to all the hosted buyers that we met and also all the other suppliers we chatted to especially Claire from Event Solutions and the Sidekicker team who now have a NZ office. Also great seeing some Aussie faces there too, including Kylie from Mayhem Events, David Addison from Sane Events and Brad from Micenet.
